So, So, Tired...
I started a new semester of classes this past Monday and after going from a couple months of straight up doing nothing but lounging around the house (and consequently, sleeping in late/staying up even later) so now that I'm back on a "normal" schedule, I'm so much more tired. Some days I come home straight from classes and just nap for the rest of the day but I still wake up feeling tired. :c
I hope this doesn't affect the amount of work I do for Dilly Dally but I've already started to notice myself putting off answering comments, etc. for a couple days or so which I hope you guys don't mind! If anything, I try to reply to everything within a week and I have Fridays off so I actually spent most of the time since I woke up today doing work for the TCG (save for the few hours I took a break to go out and get food). ;;;
ANYWAYS. Enough about me! You guys are all probably here for the new decks and what not so let's get to that~
STATISTICS LOOKING FOR MORE STAFF
Like the title says, we need a couple more staff members to join us here at Dilly Dally! If you haven't noticed, Sujini has stepped down from her positions so we need someone to fill in for her as none of the current staff we have are able to take on extra work on top of what they already have. In the mean time, I've been covering for her and taking over her games and services but I already do a lot of work as it is so I would really love if someone could help out and take up her jobs!
As such, I've decided to open up Staff Hiring Post again. I'll keep it open until whenever we get applicants and then make a decision. I don't know how many mods we'll accept as it depends on the amount of applications we get (if any) but we need at least 1 and if that one person i willing to take on all the jobs below, then great! If not, then we will need another person or so.
For those who are interested, the jobs that are available are: Group Collect game mod, Freebies game mod, Card Pot game mod, and Star Points Exchange service mod. All of these jobs are fairly easy to do and I can send you a guide for being a Game or Service mod if you need it!
The best part about these applications is that NO EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED! You can be new to TCGs in general or just new to being a Mod/Staff Member so long as you promise to do your work and try/learn new things~ If you get chosen to be a staff member, then you'll also get paid for your work in the form of cards! So if you're interested, click that link above and read what it says on the post. ^^
DECK RELEASE
Next up in tonight's update is our new decks! Unfortunately, I've only got 10 decks for you this week as we didn't really get a lot of votes in Majority Rules... Anyways, even though there are only 10 decks, you guys can still grab a total of 10 cards from the newly released decks below but no more than 2 per deck! Comment with what you take.
Like always, you can also take an extra 1 choice card from any of the decks you donated above! For the sp-favboys deck, you may also grab all of the cards you submitted an image for. If you were the donor for the Master Badge then you grab any card from the deck!
SHOOTING STAR
Now it's time for Seohyun to grant another wish! This time it's Kiss's who wished for 2 Choice Puzzle Cards for everyone. Go ahead and grab those but don't forget to comment with what you took! There's no restrictions on these freebies, by the way. c:

Just like that, another update is done. It's a short one again this week because there's not much to report on and although I think I wanted to say something, I forgot... Anyways~ I've noticed that it's been extra slowly around here lately. That makes me sad! :c I know you all have RL stuff to do, plus you're all apart of other TCGs (as far as I know) and Dilly Dally has sort of turned into a very relaxed, laid back game but I can't help but feel a little disheartened at the lack of activity recently which is even more than what we usually have.
Is there something we can do to make this game a bit more active or what? I want to see Dilly Dally strive and stay open for long but some days I can't help but wonder if it's worth it. I'm worried about the status of this game and I've read many people say that they weren't sure if this TCG was inactive or not so they never joined which doesn't help me feel any better. OTL
I hate to sound so!! Sad!! And!! Whiny!!! But I love Dilly Dally so much, it's one of the TCGs I've enjoyed creating and running the most but I can only do so much when the number of active players we have is like... 5 on most days, and nearing 10 on really good days. THIS REALLY CAME OUT OF NOWHERE, GUYS. I wasn't planning on writing all of this but I just couldn't stop myself...
For the time being and in the future, I don't have any plans on closing Dilly Dally our putting it on a hiatus or whatever. I just. I feel like you guys need to know this, although I'm not really sure /why/ I'm telling you guys this. I just want to see Dilly Dally be active. I don't know if Belle is feeling as much about this as I am but I do know she is worried about the same things I am. ;;;
DASJDKASJDKLASJD OKAY I'LL SHUT UP AND TRY TO END THIS UPDATE ON A GOOD NOTE! The Valentine's Day Event we've been hinting at in the past updates is still in the works but we hope to have it ready for you guys soon (enough). We hope you guys like it, too, because we think it's really cool.
So, I'll see you guys next Friday on February 14 for our next update! Which just so happens to be Valentine's Day. *sounds of all the single people's screams*

Regarding the pace of Dilly Dally, I think it's good that you're being direct with your concerns! I also noticed that the activity has gotten even lower since the beginning which is a shame because DD is one of my favourite TCGs. But in my experience, most games work like that? I know I've gotten tired of TCGs before… so I think it's more important to draw in a lot of new members.
As for suggestions to increase the activity… ummm, posting short updates on the main site as well, especially for any potential players or anyone who isn't familiar with journal-based TCGs, lots of advertising (I've seen some new Kpop TCGs recently popping up, maybe try advertising over there?), removing the old main website hosted on Carbon Beauty and replacing all the old links in the tcg button rotation (as that could throw of potential members), and maybe asking non-members why they wouldn't/didn't join?

Regarding the activity; based on other tcg's, a lot of people seem to be into kpop games, but maybe they're just not aware of Dilly Dally. It might help if you could get the other tcg's to advertise it for you. Also, make sure the affiliate links have been changed to the new url. Heartchu and Lovelines still link to carbon beauty, so for newcomers it will look like it hasn't been updated in months even though you posted to the site just recently!
Looking forward to the Valentines Day event! :) And yay for Bingo! I'm already 1 away!!
