Artist Collections: FAQ
Have any questions about the Artist Collections activity? Check the FAQ below and if you're inquiry has still not been answered, leave a comment below!
Are we allowed to double up decks for meeting Artist Collection and Idol Factory requirements?
For now, yes you can as the two are separate activities and we encourage players to participate in both! As long as the deck(s) you're using for one activity have not been used previously in that same activity, it's fine.
What if we collect all the cards in a deck but don't apply for a mastery for it until after the Collection Card has been approved. Will it still count?
Yes, it will still count as long as you are not doing this for more than 2 decks as you must still follow the "You can use up to 2 decks that you mastered before activating a Collection Card in your current Collection Card as long as it wasn't used for a previous Collection Card before" rule. This applies both to decks that were already mastered before applying for a claim or have more than 10 cards/are close to being mastered/can be mastered but haven't been turned in yet.
Can I use decks from sub-groups or soloists in a claim for their parent group/artist (ie. using Orange Caramel decks for an After School claim or EXO K and EXO M decks for an EXO claim)?
Yes, you can! If, in the future, there are enough decks for a sub-group or a member that debuted as a soloist to create their own individual claim and you used some of those sub-group/soloist decks in their parent group/artist claim then you'd either have to re-collect those decks or wait for/use different ones.
What if there are no Puzzle decks I want to use because I just don't want to collect them?
We've now made it an option to swap out the 1 Puzzle deck requirement for 1 Photoshoot deck instead if you choose not to use a Puzzle deck for your collection.
I want to apply for an Artist Collection but the decks I want to use haven't been released yet.
That's fine! We've recently made it an option for players to use Upcoming Decks in their collection lists whether they've been claimed/donated or not. If it hasn't been donated or has just been claimed, then it's up to that player (or whoever claimed the deck) to donate the deck as soon as possible so it can be made and released.

That reads to me like we aren't allowed to master any deck(s) before applying for an AC card but you and Belle did master at least one deck before you applied so you didn't save it until after the AC has been approved. I'm pretty sure I've misunderstood something? Could you please clarify to me? ;;

Anyways, I believe that I wrote & posted this FAQ first before deciding with Belle that we wanted to change that rule and I forgot to update it here. So, the information page on the site says "You can use up to 2 decks that you mastered before activating a Collection Card in your current Collection Card as long as it wasn't used for a previous Collection Card before." which is the rule we go by as opposed to having to save those 2 decks to master after you claim has been approved (and is why Belle and I both used already mastered decks when applying for a new collection card)!
Hopefully that makes sense? I just forgot to update this post when we changed the rules. ;;;;
